Welche Betriebssysteme unterstützt OblonVet?
OblonVet läuft auf Mac und Windows. Es darf auch ein gemischtes LAN sein. Und mit der Cloud Installation natürlich sowieso.
Wie ist OblonVet programmiert?
OblonVet ist in Java programmiert. Wir empfehlen PostgreSQL als Datenbankserver. Aber es sind selbstverständlich auch andere möglich.
Wie kann ich OblonVet in einem lokalen LAN/WAN installieren?
Am einfachsten ist es, wenn sie den OblonVet installer zuerst auf Ihrem Server installieren. Dann müssen Sie auf den einzelnen Arbeitsplätzen nur noch den OblonVet client installer starten.
1. Installing the server machine
- Run the OblonVet server installer
- This will install the OblonVet application and the PostgreSQL database server
- If a firewall is running on the server machine, you will be asked if network access should be allowed for PostgreSQL
- You should answer yes to this question so that other computers in the network can use OblonVet as well
- If you want to install OblonVet on an existing PostgreSQL database server, you can do so by choosing “Custom” mode in the OblonVet server installer
- You can choose not to install the PostgreSQL server that is bundled with OblonVet
- You will be prompted to specify the database connection details during first startup of OblonVet
2. Installing an additional computer/workstation
- After installing the server, simply run the OblonVet client installer on any additional computers that should access OblonVet
- This will automatically detect the server and configure OblonVet accordingly
- If you use a complex network setup (e.g. multiple subnets, multiple servers, etc…), it may not be possible to detect the server automatically. In this case, you will be prompted to specify the database connection details during the first startup of OblonVet.
Muss ich anschliessend immer alle Updates auf allen PCs selber installieren?
Nein. Wenn Sie den neusten Update auf irgendeinem PC installiert haben, müssen die anderen beim nächsten Neustart von OV nur noch bestätigen, dass Sie ebenfalls den Download installieren wollen.
Kann ich OblonVet auch auf einem Tablet nutzen?
Ja. Mit “remote access tools like MS RDP, Apple Remote Desktop, VNC.” ist das problemlos möglich.
Ist OblonVet eine Cloud Lösung?
Sie können OblonVet als “cloudbasierte lokale App” oder als App in Ihrem eigenen LAN nutzen. Mit Ihren Daten in der Cloud können Sie jederzeit und von überall darauf zugreifen, wenn Sie eine Internetverbindung haben. Sie benötigen keine lokale Server-Infrastruktur und kein spezielles Backup-Management. Sie können auf Ihr OblonVet von allen Ihren Standorten aus zugreifen und von zu Hause und von unterwegs, wo Ihr Smartphone einen Hotspot bereitstellen kann. OblonVet ist jedoch keine browserbasierte Cloud-Lösung. Sie müssen immer eine lokale Desktop-App auf einem Mac oder Windows-Computer installieren.
Gibt es von OblonVet etwas für mein Smartphone?
OblonVet bietet ein Modul zur Synchronisation der Termine mit Google 2-way-sync.
Wie kann ich meine existierenden Daten importieren?
Wir können fast alles einlesen. Aber wir brauchen schon vorher eine Datensicherung zum Test.
Wie verwalte ich mehrere Standorte und Firmen?
OblonVet gibt es, weil das alte Oblon das eben alles nicht konnte. Und jetzt können Sie so viele Standorte und Firmen haben, wie Sie wollen.
